The cannabis plant has been used as medicine for thousands of years. Over the last twenty years in the United States, cannabis has made its way back to the forefront, now being recognized—even in times of a pandemic—as essential medicine. Your body has its own indigenous Endocannabinoid System which has receptors in different parts of your body to create certain effects.
We are committed to helping the people of Maryland utilize this essential medicine safely and legally.
The Process: Step 1
Register with the State For Your MMCC Card
To get started, you must first register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). The MMCC is responsible for verifying Maryland state residency and issuing medical cannabis ID cards.
What you’ll need to register:
Registration fee ($50 payable by card only)
Valid email address
Photo ID
If your address has recently changed, you will also need to provide two proofs of address.
Passport photo with white background (I suggest using the Passport Photo app)
Once your registration has been processed, the MMCC will send an approval email. This email will also contain an MMCC identification number, which will be important in the next step. This process may take up to 30-45 days.
The Process: Step 2
Obtain Certification by a Certifying Health Provider to get your MMCC Card
Now you’re ready to schedule your appointment with Natural Solutions RX. It’s painless and easy. A medical cannabis consultation is much like a visit to a doctors office.
What you’ll need to get certified:
Certification fee
Photo ID
Medical documentation for your qualifying condition (if you have questions about this, please E-mail us prior to your visit)
Your MMCC identification number issued by the MMCC
Once you have been certified, the MMCC will mail your medical cannabis ID card, but this can take up to 90 days. In the meantime, you may print your temporary ID card from your MMCC patient portal
The Process: Step 3
Visit a Dispensary
The final step is to visit a dispensary. Once you have obtained both you registration and certification, you can now shop at local dispensaries. It is important to note that medical cannabis treatment is a personalized journey. The dispensaries will then sit with patients and have a consultation about which of the products they carry may work for specific medical conditions.
Here’s what you’ll need on your first visit to a dispensary:
Photo ID
MMCC ID card or MMCC Certification
List of Qualifying Conditions
Cachexia
Anorexia
Wasting syndrome
Severe or chronic pain
Severe nausea
Seizures
